Top of the Class

My nephew was so miserable in first grade and his dad did not know what to do to help him. Since his parents had just divorced he was losing more and more interest in school, retaining him seemed to be the only alternative for my brother. It looked to me like my nephew was the one who was suffering the most from the problems his parents had, so I started taking him once a week to a tutoring center where he began a different phonics program. After the class, he and I would go out for ice cream or do something else fun. He’s now back at the top of his class.
