Building the Nauvoo Temple

I think Mormon history is so interesting and in general, I was never interested in history at school. Yesterday in Relief Society, I was so fascinated to hear about the sacrifices made to build a temple in Nauvoo, even though the saints knew they were going to have to leave soon after its completion. Even though it was very important to build, they didn’t rush and cut corners. As President Packer explained, “It wasn’t brick upon brick. It was polished stone upon polished stone.” As I think about those in mormon history, I wonder if I sacrifice enough in my life to build up the kingdom.
