Teaching Young Children
This year, I started volunteering at a local elementary school. I have been tutoring children who have trouble reading, and I really feel like I am making a positive difference in their lives. Since I am having so much fun helping the kids, I have decided that I really want to become an elementary school teacher. I have had a difficult time trying to decide what major that I want to have when I go to college, so I am glad that I have finally been able to choose one. My mother told me that I definitely need to get a college degree in order to be a teacher, but I am not sure what other credentials that I will need to have. My high school counselor told me to research how to become a teacher on the Internet in order to find out the other things that I have to do.
