Helping Mom Go Home to Scotland for Her Brother’s Funeral
When my mother’s brother died in Scotland last week, she decided that she wanted to go to the funeral. Fortunately she already had her passport and I had mine in order too. I really didn’t want her to take such a sad trip by herself, especially at her age. It wasn’t much of a difficult job to find good plane fares and get our tickets reserved, but it took a longer to handle the currency exchange. I wanted to take care of it on this end and not have to think about that when we were actually with the relatives over there. Finally we are all set and ready to leave in the morning. I hope this will be a worth while trip for my mom.
